Movie lovers, your time has come! Own a piece of cinematic history — from such iconic films as Star Wars, Superman, The Shawshank Redemption, Friday the 13th and more — by bidding in Propstore’s upcoming auction that is selling all of your favorite memorabilia.
If you’ve ever wanted to step into Darth Vader’s shoes, start by putting on his iconic gloves from Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope. Be prepared to shell out some serious cash: the costume pieces could go for $172,362 to $287,270. However, a true villainous look isn’t complete without Jason Voorhees’ iconic hockey mask — specifically, the one worn by actor C.J. Graham in the sixth film in the horror franchise, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. Bidding for the famous face covering will most likely start close to $46,000 and could go up to $69,000.
If emulating a hero is more up your alley, Christopher Reeve’s legendary Superman costume is up for auction as well. The tell-tale blue and red suit that the late actor wore throughout the franchise is expected to rake in as much as $574,540. Or you can score Harry Potter’s Hero Wand from the first film in the franchise — Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone — without even going to Ollivanders. Daniel Radcliffe’s most powerful prop is estimated to sell between $22,981 and $34,472.
As the holiday season approaches, what better way to celebrate than displaying The Grinch’s own sleigh among your decorations? The very same prop that the Mean One himself (and dog Max) utilized to steal Christmas presents from the Whos in the 2000 Jim Carrey film is up for bid at the London-based auction and is expected to go for somewhere in the $22,981 to $34,472 range.

The first trailer for the upcoming film The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been released!
Nintendo has released the first trailer for the upcoming Super Mario movie – check it out below. The company debuted the trailer in a special Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday (October 6), after a poster showing the animation style was shared on social media earlier this week. The project is a collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination, the animation studio behind the Despicable Me franchise, Sing and The Secret Life Of Pets.Chris Pratt provides the voice of Mario, alongside Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad.Charles Martinet, the original voice of Mario in the games, is also set to appear in various undisclosed cameo roles. The film is directed by duo Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, who are best known for co-developing the DC series Teen Titans Go! and film spin-off Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. It’s written by Matthew Fogel, whose previous work includes Minions: The Rise Of Gru and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.Speaking to Variety earlier this year, Pratt teased that his Mario voice is “unlike anything you’ve heard” in the games.“I worked really closely with the directors and trying out a few things and landed on something that I’m really proud of and can’t wait for people to see and hear,” Pratt said.

some of Pratt’s Mario – or, at least, his backside. Illumination is, of course, the studio behind the “Despicable Me,” “Minions” and “Secret Life of Pets” franchises so many have been curious to see what “Super Mario Bros.” looks like, but the film was made with the explicit involvement of Nintendo, which co-financed the movie alongside Universal Pictures, and the Mario world does not appear to be Minion-ized here.Pratt voices Mario in something of a controversial choice, although the “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor is no stranger to voice work having led the “LEGO Movie” franchise.“Super Mario Bros.” also stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.Originally scheduled for release in December, the film opens in theaters in the U.S.
Hocus Pocus 2, the sequel to Disney’s upcoming sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic, is debuting tomorrow on Disney+ and fans could not be more excited!
Peter Debruge Chief Film Critic What strange sorcery is this that “Hocus Pocus” — a so-so comedy turned campy cult favorite starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as absolutely fabulous Salem witch sisters — should be getting a sequel nearly three decades after its 1993 release? At the time, Variety speculated that, were it not for the film’s three stars, “‘Hocus Pocus’ wouldn’t seem out of place on the Disney Channel, and perhaps belongs there.” (Its director, Kenny Ortega, would go on to helm the “High School Musical” franchise for the cabler.) In a sense, that’s what’s happened with this follow-up, aimed to breathe some life into the graveyard that is Disney+. The sequel’s existence owes less to popular demand (the original earned a respectable $39.3 million stateside and went on to become a Halloween season staple) than the realization that the film had tapped into preteens’ fascination with witchcraft before Harry Potter came along. It can be no coincidence that the new feature lifts so much of its look and feel from that franchise — with eye of newt, a dead man’s head and some aspects of “The Craft” tossed in for good measure. In “Hocus Pocus 2,” the three teens called upon to save Salem from the Sanderson sisters’ return are themselves budding witches, which means the movie is less about scaring kids away from magic than indulging their post-Potter junior wizarding fantasies.
recreate his voice for future projects, Trevor Noah couldn’t help but imagine what it would sound like if someone else took on the iconic voice role during Monday’s episode of “The Daily Show.”Before jumping into the impressions, he joked: “You see? ‘The Little Mermaid becomes Black and they take away James Earl Jones! I told you there would be backlash!”“I’m joking,” he continued, adding that he was “a little nervous” about the idea that artificial intelligence would be used to keep using Jones’ voice for the part.“We think A.I. is going to take over the world, and now we’re going to teach it to use the dark side of the Force? No one thinks this is a bad idea?” he said. But, he had to admit that A.I.
In some ways, James Earl Jones‘ baritone voice is as iconic to Darth Vader as the Sith lord’s helmet and red lightsaber. But now, after forty years, it’s time for someone else to take over the role — or at least, for someone to recreate the actor’s voice.
Star Wars character Darth Vader after 45 years in the role.As reported by Vanity Fair, the actor, 91, has signed off on archival voice recordings being used by young filmmakers, who plan to recreate Jones’ voice from his previous films for future Lucasfilm projects using artificial intelligence.“He had mentioned he was looking into winding down this particular character,” Matthew Wood, a veteran at Lucasfilm, said. “So how do we move forward?”Lucasfilm first partnered with Respeecher, a Ukrainian start-up that uses AI technology to create new dialogue from old voice recordings, on Disney+ series The Book Of Boba Fett to replicate the voice of young Luke Skywalker.Jones’ voice was artificially recreated for Darth Vader in recent series Obi Wan Kenobi, although Lucasfilm said the actor “guided” the performance.
James Earl Jones is reportedly stepping back from voicing “Star Wars” villain Darth Vader.
