Janey Godley has given fans a health update as she was kept in hospital due to having a blood transfusion.
The comedian went to an appointment to to receive the results from her post-chemo scan but instead found that her haemoglobin count was low and she would have to be kept in to get a top up of blood.
Janey took to social media to give her followers an update and said she still hasn't got the results to see if her chemotherapy worked but her CA125 number (a test which measures the amount of the protein CA 125 in the blood) is low so she's feeling positive.
She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the end of last year and has been documenting her journey ever since.
She said: "I came into hospital yesterday to discuss my blood tests and my scan that I had after my six rounds of chemo, well the scan results aren't through yet but I think there's a back log from covid so I didn't get the results of that which I had spent weeks worrying about thinking they're going to find something else, they're going to find another cancer, they're going to find a big lump, they're going to find an owl tucked somewhere inside my colon.
"But she said she didn't have the results of my scan but your CA125 number is low so that's positive, but what they did find in my bloods though was that my haemoglobin was really low which explains the extreme exhaustion and the mild fainting attack that I had in the car park, so they kept me in and gave me loads of blood.
She added: "Thank you to every blood donor everywhere who gives blood. Thank you so so much for doing that, I really appreciate it. Hopefully I will be home today once they check my haemoglobin."
And fans were quick to send their best wishes to Janey.
