In the UK and US, addiction affects thousands of people every year. UK Government statistics show over 250,000 adults were in contact with drug and alcohol addiction services between April 2020 and March 2020.
Hetfield's decision to start tackling his addiction was motivated by fear, he explained. He said: "Losing my family, that was the thing that scared me so much, that was the bottom I hit, that my family is going to go away because of my behaviours that I brought home from the road. "I got kicked out of my house by my wife, I was living on my own somewhere, I did not want that.

He added: "Maybe as part of my upbringing, my family kind of disintegrated when I was a kid. Father left, mother passed away, had to live with my brother, and then kind of just, where did my stuff go? It just kind of floated away, and I do not want that happening.

James, the report said, narrowly missed morning traffic while dodging the unaware rider. "Corden was fuming," a onlooker said. "This young cyclist just darted across the road and sent him flying. It must have really taken him by surprise."Although he was forced to dump his bike onto busy Regent Street at 10 a.m., James thankfully avoided injury. "He had no cuts or bruises but it must have hurt," the source said, adding that the fellow cyclist merely said "sorry." On July 18, The Sun published video purportedly taken just moments after the crash.

On Tuesday, bandmembers, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo, took to their official Instagram page to praise the Duffer Brothers for the use of their 1986 hit, “Master of Puppets” during Eddie Munson’s (Joseph Quinn) big scene in the season 4, volume 2 finale. “The way The Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include “Master of Puppets” in the show, but to have such a pivotal scene built around it,” the bad wrote next to a clip of the song running during an extended trailer for the show. A post shared by Metallica (@metallica)“We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away… it’s so extremely well done, so much so, that some folks were able to guess the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer!!! How crazy cool is that? It’s an incredible honor to be such a big part of Eddie’s journey and to once again be keeping company with all of the other amazing artists featured in the show. #strangerthings #strangerthings4 #masterofpuppets #eddiemunson #netflix #EveryoneIsWelcomeInTheMetallicaFamily @strangerthingstv @netflix.” During the two-hour season finale, Eddie (Quinn) thrashed the metal classic on a guitar to distract the Demobats while in the upside-down -- as the rest of the gang tried to destroy Vecna.
