James Forrest joined an exclusive list of just two other Celtic players with his assist for Callum McGregor's late winner against Aberdeen on Saturday - with his cutback meaning he has scored and assisted 100 goals for the Hoops.
Forrest was brought on with just under 20 minutes to go against the Dons in Saturday's early kick-off with Ange Postecoglou's side struggling to break down an Aberdeen side that had set up to frustrate the league leaders at a chilly Pittodrie.
It looked as though the change had made no difference as the clash entered the closing stages, thanks in part to fluffed chances from Kyogo Furuhashi as the Hoops looked set to drop points in the Scottish Premiership for just the second time this season. However, Forrest's layoff for McGregor to smack the ball home from the edge of the box allowed him to reach the huge milestone - joining Henrik Larsson and Jimmy Johnstone as only the third ever player to do so.
The 31-year-old is a one-club man, having joined Celtic as an 11-year-old, making 457 appearances in the process. His 100th goal came back in October with his hat-trick against Hibs, though he has had to wait on 99 assists since the start of the season before teeing up McGregor in the Granite City.
Larsson has 242 goals for the club, meaning Forrest might just fail to make that target, whilst Johnstone recording 135 goals for the Hoops before leaving for San Jose Earthquakes after a 13-year spell at Celtic between 1962 and 1975. That could well be an attainable target if Forrest continues his Hoops legacy by retiring at the club.
