Actress Jaime King’s representative has fired back at her estranged husband Kyle Newman’s claims she is battling an opioid addiction. The filmmaker made the allegations in documents he filed on Friday, requesting full physical custody of the couple’s two sons.

Jaime King’s husband has made it clear the couple’s divorce will be anything but friendly, calling her an addict as he files for sole physical custody of their kids. Filmmaker Kyle Newman requested an emergency hearing on Friday morning, asking a judge to let him take custody of his sons James, six, and Theo, four, while accusing his estranged wife of refusing to get help for her opioid and alcohol addictions.

Jaime King and Kyle Newman's divorce is not going to be an easy one. 

Jaime King, 41, and Kyle Newman, 44, are embroiled in a legal battle over custody of their two children, James Knight, 6, and Leo Thames, 4, following their split. Kyle filed an emergency court order on Friday, May 22, seeking sole physical custody of their sons, which was denied by a judge.

In newly filed court docs, Kyle Newman is claiming his estranged wife and mother of his kids, Jaime King, is a “chronic drug addict and alcoholic.” In the docs filed Friday, which were obtained by Fox News, the 44-year-old director alleges that the 41-year-old actress “refuses to acknowledge that she has a problem, let alone seek meaningful treatment for such problem.” Per the legal papers, Newman claims that King abused drugs before, while, and after their two sons -- James, 6, and Leo, 4 --
