This Morning viewers wasted no time in calling out Rishi Sunak as he made an error when discussing his McDonald's order. The former Chancellor of the Exchequer appeared on the ITV daytime programme where he was interviewed live in the studio by hosts Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters.
He appeared on the show as the battle for Number 10 continues for him and his Tory leadership opponent Liz Truss. With just 18 days left before Britain gets a new Prime Minister, the hosts said they'd put viewers' questions to him to help them decide if he is the right person for the job.
Mr Sunak is in the running to be the next prime minister of the UK following Boris Johnson announcing he was to stand down in July. But the interview hasn't impressed fans, as amongst discussing current issues including the cost of living crisis, and rising inflation, the pair asked Rishi about whether he liked fish and chips and his go-to McDonald's order.

However, the chat started with Mr Sunak sharing his excitement at being on the show and being interviewed by Andi. "This is the most exciting interview I’ve done on this campaign," he explained. Aked why, he said: "Eell, because I grew up with Andi! It was the broom cupboard, it was Ed the Duck! That was my childhood… Byker Grove, Blue Peter, Newsround and onto Neighbours…"
