ITV This Morning viewers distracted as England star Mason Mount sits down for first TV interview

This Morning viewers were left divided and distracted as Mason Mount made a live appearance on the show. The footballer headed to chat to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the ITV daytime show fresh from England's defeat against Hungary.
The Three Lions suffered a 4-0 loss during their latest Nation's League game in Wolverhampton leaving them rock-bottom of Group A3. And fans have since turned on Gareth Southgate and his players just five months ahead of the World Cup.
Mason went to the London ITV studio to chat to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about his involvement with the charity Together For Short Lives. However, they couldn't not mention the action on the pitch as well as off it.

"We never like to begin the interview on a downer but sadly this one is a little bit unavoidable," Holly, 41, said as the Chelsea star sat opposite her on the famous sofa. "You guys did lose last night and recently things haven't been quite as going to plan have they?"
Mason then replied: "It was a difficult four games, these things happen. If you put it into perspective over the last couple of years, we got into a semi in the World Cup and then a Euros final, so this is just the start, these things happen." He added: "It's a little bump in the road, but now we are obviously fully focused on the World Cup coming up.”
Phillip slightly laughed as he reminded Mason it is the worst home defeat for England since 1928, but asked what was discussed when they walked off the pitch. "As players, you are obviously disappointed with the performance," Mason replied. "But at that time the most important thing is to stay together,
