This Morning has been cancelled tomorrow to make way for the coverage of King Charles' Cardiff visit.
King Charles III will be visiting Cardiff, Wales tomorrow which will be his first visit since becoming King following the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth. Due to the visit, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby announced that This Morning will not air tomorrow, as they announced today.
On Thursday's offering of This Morning, the presenters had been chatting with many people who had met the late Queen or King Charles. Sir Trevor McDonald, Katherine Jenkins and other celebrity guests were also there to pay tribute.
At the end of today's show, Holly and Phil themselves paid tribute to the Queen, saying "thank you for everything ma'am" as the show segued into an emotional montage of Queen Elizabeth's wonderful reign alongside the heartbreaking tune We'll Meet Again.
Usually, This Morning airs on Fridays, hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, but it won't air tomorrow as ITV instead show rolling news coverage of the King's historic visit to Cardiff. It has not yet been confirmed when This Morning will return but it likely will be on Tuesday, as ITV are airing multi channel coverage of the Queen's funeral on September 19 from early in the morning.
ITV have seen many schedule changes since the rare statement from Buckingham Palace last Thursday, which announced the Queen was being looked after by doctors. Her family rushed to be at her side, prompting even more fears. It was announced later that day that the Queen had passed in the afternoon.
