ITV Lorraine left apologising to guests Matt Willis and Jason Manford as they both suffer 'nightmare' issues

Lorraine Kelly ended up having to apologise to her guests after her show suffered not one but two 'nightmare' issues.

The TV host was back at the helm of her self-titled ITV show on Friday (February 25).

Her first guest was due to be Busted singer Matt Willis who was heading to the programme to chat about appearing in theatre show, Waitress.

But he was unable to make it into the studio for his chat... because of traffic.

The show, however, had to go on so Matt did his interview with Lorraine from the back of a cab.

"He's stuck in traffic, the poor wee soul," Lorraine explained before asking: "Matt, are you close?"

Appearing via his video link, Matt replied: "This is not the morning I expected.

"I am in North London somewhere, I think by Brent Cross. I have been gridlocked in traffic for an hour."

While his driver tried to find an alternative route to the ITV studios, Matt admitted defeat and said: "Unfortunately, we are where we are.

"How are you?" he then asked the host.

"Let's pretend that you're not in the back of the car and that you're with me," she said.

By the end of the interview, Lorraine was worried about Matt being able to get to work in time.

"If push comes to shove, there's Collindale train station. I've already checked it and it's about a 15 minute walk and I'll get home and drive to Bromley," he said.

Laughing, Lorraine replied: "Well I hope you get to the performance tonight my love with Waitress. It's at Bromley church hall and thank you for talking to us.

"I'm so sorry that you're stuck in traffic like that."

But he wasn't the only celeb who experienced problems on the show.
