ITV Emmerdale viewers fume as they say 'beautiful' episode was 'ruined'

Emmerdale fans felt like they had won the lottery as they watched a Dingle wedding go off without a hitch. In scenes aired in the ITV soap on Thursday night (August 11), viewers watched as Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk finally said 'I do' following a challenging few months after Marlon suffered a stroke.
The much-loved character, played by Mark Charnock, suffered the health scare back in March and we have since watched him face the emotional and physical challenges of recovery as well as the impact it has on his family and friends like Rhona (Zoe Henry), daughter April and best friend Paddy Kirk.
But a bright spot amid all of that was Marlon and Rhona's wedding which left Emmerdale viewers in tears as they tuned into the hour-long episode. There was a brief moment when the nuptials were almost called off as Marlon was admitted to hospital after collapsing at home and being told his blood pressure was too high to leave.

However, with Paddy's support, Marlon made it to the church on time - whizzing the determined groom in his pimped-up wedding wheelchair through the village before bursting through the door of the church and wheeling Marlon in before he locked eyes with his bride and made the walk down the aisle, supported by his family.
After exchanging their vows and finally becoming husband and wife, it was then off to The Woolpack for the reception where the emotional scenes continued with speeches, Priya showing her scars for the first time, and a mother-son dance between Cain and Faith Dingle.
