Emmerdale fans didn't hold back as they took a brutal swip at David Metcalfe and Victoria Sugden. The couple have been seen discussing their relationship on screen this week as David suggested the pair had got in a bit of a 'rut'.

Meanwhile, Victoria appeared to be saying something different to Marcus Dean before telling him and boyfriend Ethan Anderson that she loves nothing more than a cosy night in on the sofa.

David, however, had other plans. Moments in to Tuesday night's edition of the ITV soap, David approached his girlfriend and said: "I'm just telling you how gorgeous and sexy you are," before telling Victoria he has "the most perfect grown-up evening planned."
