Emmerdale fans didn't waste a second in sharing their thoughts on a comment made by Marcus Dean during the latest episode. The ITV soap was back on screens last night and the search for Charles Anderson's previously unseen daughter continued.
Marcus, who first arrived in the village earlier this year as Pierce Harris' son was seen trying to help his new love interest Ethan and his vicar dad find his long-lost daughter, Naomi. And viewers have never been introduced to her as she's never met her father or brother before.
Despite only finding out about her existence last year after Ethan reconnected with his mother, Ethan was willing to help Esme after she told him her daughter had gone missing. Charles then found out and was eager to help. But, he didn't know what she looked like.

This is where Marcus came to his rescue, searching through social media before he came across someone who was likely to be Naomi. So, Charles set off in search and his efforts later proved successful as he found his oblivious daughter working in a pub. But drama soon ensued when Naomi was confronted by her boss as she drank and chatted to her mates despite being on shift.
Refusing to accept any responsibility, Naomi quit and tried to leave, only to be stopped because no one had covered her shift. As her boss tried to pull her back, Charles intervened and ended up punching the other man before telling him to leave his daughter alone, leaving Naomi visibly stunned.
And while Charles and Ethan were grateful for Marcus' help, Emmerdale viewers couldn't help but wonder if his sleuthing skills suggested something more sinister. @penniless_poet tweeted:
