ITV Coronation Street's Toyah confesses car crash truth to Spider but is making 'huge mistake'

The truth of what happened in the car crash which subsequently saw Imran Habeeb lose his life is set to come tumbling out in Coronation Street this month. While fans of the ITV soap are sure the lawyers new wife Toyah is to blame, they never saw what actually happened.
But with Toyah’s trial fast approaching, Corrie’s producer Iain MacLeod has revealed that the former counsellor will hit “crisis point” and the emotional toll of facing prison for murder sees her confess all to returning love interest Spider Nugent.
Since Spider’s return to the cobbles in June, viewers have seen Toyah falling for him all over again and join him on his latest activist quests - despite her sister Leanne Battersby’s disapproval.

This week, on the famous street, an angry protest gets underway. An apologetic Carla Connor tells shady businessman Nadeem Atallah that their deal is off after a warning from Toyah. The police soon arrive but as PC Craig Tinker urges the protestors to disperse, Spider's friend Griff rallies the crowd. As Carla and Nadeem emerge, Spider watches in horror as Griff pulls out a bottle and hurls it, hitting Craig on the head.
Griff’s arrested while a terrified Toyah finds herself caught up in the melee. And there's more drama for Toyah when her late husband Imran Habeeb's mum Saira approaches her in the street and accuses her of murdering her husband so that she could be with her ex Spider.
