Corrie star reveals previous soap role which was later taken over by Gemma Atkinson
Rebecca Ryan will soon be remembered for playing twist Lydia Chambers in Coronation Street but she actually had a role on another soap.
The Manchester actress, 30, first appeared in the ITV soap in December as a PA to one of Underworld's clients. During a meeting, she hit it off with Sarah Barlow, and the pair bonded over having a young son.
But it wasn't long before Lydia discovered Sarah's husband to be Adam Barlow, who she had a brief fling with back when they were at university.

And when Adam claimed to not remember her, Lydia's attitude changed and since then she has been causing havoc for the solicitor, claiming to Sarah the pair have been having an affair.
It has been confirmed, however, that Lydia will soon be making an exit from Weatherfield as it was already planned for Rebecca to take on the role for a short time. She is expected to leave later this month.
But Corrie isn't Rebecca's first time in a soap as she recently revealed she appeared on ITV's other flagship show Emmerdale as the daughter of Dales legend Bob Hope.
When asked what soap she'd like to be in if she wasn't in Corrie, Rebecca confessed to OK! Magazine : "I do love Emmerdale, I have to admit. I was actually in Emmerdale years ago as Bob Hope’s daughter, and then Gemma Atkinson took over my part. I had an amazing time on the show so it would be great to go back."
