After returning home to Weatherfield, Emma and Faye kept quiet on what happened but they began to feel guilty and went back to check on Ted.
But when they let themselves in, they found him dead in his armchair.
Panicked they cleaned up the flat in a bid to remove any trace of them being there - until Emma signed for a parcel when a delivery man knocked on the door.
Faye's boyfriend Craig Tinker just so happens to be a police officer and Ted's death is now being treated as suspicious and is in the hands of the police.
On Tuesday's This Morning, soap writer Sharon Marshall joined Phillip and co-host Rochelle Humes for her latest soap segment.
She shared a clip from Corrie to air this week, showing the moment Faye confesses to her involvement in Ted's death to Craig.
She admits her wrongdoing as she fears Emma will end up in prison after an e-fit was released of a woman spotted at Ted's flat before his death.
The ITV programme then showed a close-up of the e-fit, which Craig claims looks like Emma, leaving the hosts bewildered.
