Coronation Street fans have become intrigued by newbie Griff as he grows close to Toyah Habeeb over their shared love of activism. The eco-activist character made his first appearance earlier this month as a mate of Toyah's recently returned first love Geoffrey 'Spider' Nugent.
During an episode of the ITV soap aired earlier last week, Griff was shown speaking at multiple residents about "Big Pharma" and a "secret cabal" who are supposedly in control of the world. He was seen enjoying a drink with Peter Barlow, despite Carla's disapproval, in the Rovers Return.
It came after he led a protest outside Underworld against Nadeem, a businessman who had planned to start working with Carla. When they found out who Carla was set to be working with, Griff was quick on his plans to start a protest as he and Spider were well aware that Nadeem is notorious for his unethical working practices and decided now was the perfect opportunity to expose him.

After a visit from Toyah, Carla already had a change of mind about working with Nadeem but he still paid a visit to the factory which soon ended up being a mistake as things got out of control and the new character ended up throwing a bottle at PC Craig Tinker, which left him with a gash to his head.
Meanwhile, Toyah was furious with Spider when he revealed he is married so she set of for comfort elsewhere and continued to associate with extreme activist Griff. In Monday night's episode, viewers will see Toyah being confronted once again by Saira Habeeb over her role in the death of late husband Imran.
When Griff intervenes and suggests they take revenge on Saira
