Coronation Street fans have been full of praise for Daniel Brocklebank and Harriet Bibby after the pair shared emotional scenes during Monday night's episode.
Viewers have known that Summer Spellman, played by Harriet, has been struggling with her diabetes diagnosis and issues around her body image. In scenes aired last week, Amy Barlow reappeared at the flat Summer shares with her guardian Billy Mayhew, played by Dan, to find her making herself sick after the pair ate cake and bacon rolls.
Summer begged Amy not to tell Billy and not wanting to betray her friend's trust, she didn't say a word until scenes aired at the start of the week when Summer ended up in hospital.

The student, who has been none stop studying for her exams to guarantee her place at Oxford University, was found slumped in Victoria Garden beside a box of alcopops that Jacob Hay was trying to flog after buying them from Evelyn Plummer to make some extra cash as he and Amy struggle to scrape together money for rent and bills.
When the police arrived, they made the assumption Summer was drunk and took her to the station after an anonymous tip-off from Simon Barlow who was out to get his own back once again on Jacob for his past mistakes. Over at the station, Amy and Aadi Alahan arrived and informed PC Craig Tinker that Summer hadn't been drinking and that it could be her diabetes.
As he rushed to the cell, Craig found Summer in a diabetic coma and later, she was seen in hospital being told she could go home with concerned guardian Billy Mayhew by her side. Back on the cobbles, Billy bumped into Amy who was worried for her friend and ended
