Interpol announce new 2023 UK headline tour dates

Brix Smith has announced details of a UK summer headline tour with her new band ‘The All Female Super Group’.The post-punk icon, who was a member of The Fall and others, founded her new band last year for a debut UK tour, and will head back out on the road this summer.“I’m going on tour,” Smith said in a statement. The All Female Super Group and I are hitting the road from May for our ‘Valley Of The Dolls’ UK tour.

Jungle have been announced as the latest headliners for this year’s All Points East festival in London.The funk and soul/dance duo – comprising Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland – are set to deliver a UK exclusive performance in Victoria Park on Saturday, August 26.Also featured on the line-up for that day are Erykah Badu, Folamour, BADBADNOTGOOD, 070 Shake, Tobe Nwigwe, Charlotte Day Wilson, Lil Silva, Ragz Originale and Pretty Girl. New Order have backed the #LetTheMusicMove campaign against proposed changes to US visa rules that would impact touring artists.Last month saw the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announce that it was planning to raise touring visa fees for foreign acts by more than 250 per cent.The DHS said in its proposal that applications for a P visa, which is for acts arriving in the states to perform temporarily, would increase from the current rate of $460 (£375.23) to $1,615 (£1,317). Meanwhile, the longer-term O work visa would jump from $460 (£375.23) to $1,655 (£1,349).Numerous musicians have since spoken out against the plans, saying that it would be “a huge hardship to pay such high visa fees”.
