Rylan Clark recently admitted he is “building a new me” after being hospitalised last year following his heartbreaking split from husband Dan Neal. The 33-year-old says he weighed just over 9st at his lowest point after he stopped eating and withdrew himself from work – taking a four-month break from his Radio 2 show and cancelling various TV appearances. “I needed help,” he admitted last week in a candid interview – the first time he’s opened up since returning to work.
“I didn’t think I’d be here. I didn’t think I could continue,” he said. “I didn’t think I’d actually come back.

The reality star, who found fame on The X Factor back in 2012, also admitted that while he loves being in the limelight, he feels he has become more like his on-screen persona than his genuine self in recent years.
“I’ve learned that fame is something that I wanted, but not necessarily the thing I want still. And don’t get me wrong, it’s always lovely meeting people and being treated certain ways. But sometimes it’s important to stand in the queue.
Sometimes you want to just f**k off over the garden centre to buy a plant,” he continued. Rylan and Dan met in 2014 on Big Brother when Dan, 42, was a contestant and Rylan was hosting sister show Bit On The Side.They tied the knot the following year, but sadly separated last June after six years of marriage.
