Injured ‘America’s Got Talent’ stuntman was at ‘very brink’ of death

"America’s Got Talent: Extreme" has paused production following a stunt gone wrong that left one of its contestants injured.  Fox News confirmed Friday that Jonathan Goodwin was injured during a stunt that he was performing on the upcoming "America’s Got Talent" offshoot series.

that during the stunt, Goodwin was «suspended 70 feet in the air in a straitjacket hanging by his feet from a wire» with two cars suspended on either side of him swinging back and forth. The stunt was for Goodwin to free himself from the straitjacket and fall on an air mattress before getting crushed by the swinging cars in mid-air. According to the site, the stunt went wrong and the cars collided with Goodwin in between them.

The daredevil stuntman, who appeared on the ITV competition in 2020 and left the judges in shock from his increasingly scary performances, became sandwiched between two vehicles that exploded into fire.
