Chelsea and Man City set to be hit hard as FIFA introduce new rule over loan stars
Chelsea and Manchester City are set to suffer a huge blow after FIFA announced new plans to limit clubs to loaning out just six players each season. It comes after the governing body for world football decided to take action in order to prevent clubs from stockpiling young players and loaning them out.Premier League clubs in particular are regular culprits, with Chelsea and Man City having long implemented a philosophy to hoard the greatest young talents.Chelsea currently have 11 players loaned out, including England star Conor Gallagher at Crystal Palace, while title rivals City have nine listed as out on loan.FIFA’s aim is to reduce the number of players loaned between particular clubs due to Premier League sides often setting agreements to feed specific clubs. They now want to crack down on these type of deals both domestically and internationally.FIFA said: "At domestic level, FIFA’s member associations will be granted a period of three years to implement rules for a loan system that is in line with the principles established at international level."The new regulations will come into play on July 1 2022 and, if approved, FIFA will allow a transitional period to allow clubs to adjust.Do you think the new loan regulations will benefit the game? Arsenal will not register Dusan Vlahovic after he joins due to 'transfer loophole'
Arsenal are closing in on signing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic following reports that a £67 million bid has been accepted. The Gunners have been in need of a striker since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of the captaincy and effectively booted out of the club by manager Mikel Arteta last month.Vlahovic meanwhile has been on fire in Serie A, netting 17 goals in 21 matches this season and attracting interest from every corner of Europe in the process. But Arsenal appear to have pipped their rivals to the post and could seal a deal for the Serbian in the coming days, providing personal terms can be agreed.Another major bonus for the north London side is that they won't even have to register Vlahovic if they sign him this month.Registering players can often be a tricky business, as Barcelona have discovered to their cost in recent months, but due to a 'transfer loophole', Arsenal needn't even bother.Even though Vlahovic turns 22 next week, he's still classed as an U21 player according to Premier League rules. This is because "an U21 player is defined as one who is under the age of 21 on 1st January in the year in which the season commences."All Premier League teams have to name 25-man squads at the start of each campaign, but clubs are allowed to include as many U21 players - who don't need to be registered - as they like.According to the rules, a maximum of 17 places in the squad can be filled by overseas players, with the remaining eight places reserved for players with 'homegrown' status. Will Dusan Vlahovic be the best striker in the Premier League if he joins Arsenal? Let us know what you think in the comments section...To be considered 'homegrown', players must have been registered with any club affiliated with

Sadistic paedophile finally caught after police repair smashed cassette of sick evidence
Liverpool ECHO reported. He was found guilty of 11 counts of rape, relating to at least 35 attacks on the victim, from when she was aged 11 or 12 to a young adult, including the rape in the Category A video he shot with a tripod and camera.Wood was also convicted of three counts of indecently assaulting her, on at least 11 occasions in total, when she was aged 11 to 15, including an attack captured in a Category B video.Years later, the now-adult woman went to the police and reported her ordeal, leading to the pensioner's arrest.Wood, who claimed they'd once had consensual sex, denied any sexual activity between them when she was underage. But a search of his home revealed camcorder cassettes in the loft - including one that appeared to have been destroyed. And when a detective managed to repair the old cassette, it showed Wood had filmed himself raping and molesting the child. He then denied 12 counts of rape and six counts of indecent assault, which forced his victim to go through the ordeal of giving evidence. Before the harrowing trial began, Wood admitted two counts of making indecent photographs of a child. They related to two recordings on the cassette, which prosecutors said showed him raping and indecently assaulting the girl.Wood admitted making the Category A and B videos, but said they showed consensual sexual activity when the girl was 16 or 17 - having previously suggested she was 18 or over in the footage. He denied any other wrongdoing and said everything videoed had happened on just one occasion.David Polglase, prosecuting, told the jury different clothing worn by Wood and the girl, different lighting and different decor in the background on the two clips suggested otherwise. The prosecutor said the victim was

Amanda Holden left stunned as Simon Cowell confirms engagement after marriage concerns
Amanda Holden gave her thoughts on Simon Cowell’s engagement news to his longtime partner Lauren Silverman, claiming she was given a heads-up beforehand.The 50-year-old took to her Heart FM radio show to reveal that her Britain’s Got Talent boss and co-judge had sent her a text message on Tuesday evening to share the news with friends.Amanda said she was taken aback by the message from Simon, which read: “It’s happening”.She recalled: “Last night we all got the text saying, ‘It’s happening', and we couldn’t believe it.“And I knew it would be in the papers today if we got the text last night.“So I was like ‘oh my goodness!’”Amanda went on to quip that she’s just as surprised by the news as Simon’s soon-to-be wife.Simon and Lauren have been together since 2013, shortly after the latter’s ex-husband Andrew Silverman filed for divorce in July that same year.Amanda continued to stress how her music mogul pal has always said he would never get married. But ever since he settled down with Lauren, Simon appears to have had a change of heart regarding his views on marriage.“Simon said he would never get married, and obviously Lauren has been by his side and you now they’ve been through so much together, and I think she’s the one.“But I don’t know if she ever thought he would put a ring on it!”Before welcoming their son Eric Cowell in 2014, Simon insisted he would never want to have children “because I don’t want a me”, he told Michael Parkinson."I was obnoxious as a child.
