I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Martin Roberts has shared the heart-breaking news a member of his close family has died. Announcing the loss on his personal Twitter page on Thursday, 9 March, Homes Under the Hammer host Martin, who experienced a scare when he had emergency heart surgery last year, opened up on the loss of his dad Norman, who passed away at the age of 90.
The 59 year old presenter asked fans for their support as he opened up on feeling alone since the loss. While he admitted he wasn't sure if it was a good idea to share his struggles in public, Martin was hopeful that in reaching out to the community on his social media pages he could get help in coping with it. Martin uploaded a 93-second clip to his Instagram and Twitter feeds as he said he needed to "surround himself" with people and talk honestly about what he's been dealing with.
“So I don’t know if I should really be posting this video or not but, I guess people deal with things in different ways," he began. “This is a very private thing but I kind of just need to surround myself with as many people as I can who care right now. “My dad died yesterday.
He was 90 and he had a great life and he died peacefully. "He died at home and he wasn’t in pain so that’s great," the star went on.
