'I have really dreaded this day', reveals King Charles to woman who kissed his hands

Charles was reported by the BBC to have told the lady that kissed his hands: “I have really dreaded this day”.The Royal Standard had just been raised above the palace for the first time of his reign.It was as onlookers shouted “three cheers for Charles” when one woman leaned over to kiss him on the hand.The woman who pecked him on the cheek asked "can I kiss you?" according to a lip reader.

They added that the former Prince of Wales responded: “Bless you, thank you, pleased to meet you.’’It's by no means the first time Charles has been kissed by a well-wisher.
