Fans of tacos and tequila rejoice. There’s a huge festival celebrating the national foods (and drink) of Mexico heading to Manchester in September.
Taco Town will be happening over four separate arenas, boasting more than 30 different types of tacos to try, and more than 50 tequilas. There will also be a wealth of entertainment going on through the day.

There will be a wrestling ring set-up featuring lucha libre, the wrestling phenomenon native to Mexico, in which luchadors face off against each other performing high-flying fighting manoeuvres while wearing brightly coloured full face masks.
Other entertainment will include rodeo rides and chilli eating contests. The sessions will be split into two, the first from 12pm to 5pm, and the second from 6pm to 11pm - families are welcome for the afternoon session, while the evening will be adults only.
Taco Town’s Tom Cullen said: “We are excited to bring Taco Town to Manchester for the first time, to share their delicious variety of tacos and tequila. With an array of entertainment including Mariachi bands and Lucha Libre wrestling, this will be an unmissable event with a truly loco atmosphere.”
It all takes place on September 23 at the Love Factory venue in the Green Quarter, which opened its doors for the World Cup last year. Tickets, which come with a free tequila shot glass, are on sale now.
