Writer-director Florian Zeller brings this, his second in a series of his plays, to the screen, having debuted The Father, also starring Hopkins, last Oscar season. In taking on this role, Jackman became the crux of a story so eviscerating and personal, he says it affected the way he parents his own children, while at the same time, he felt the presence of his father, who passed away during the shoot.
Huge fire in Dundee 'deliberate' as police probe inferno at listed building

A devastating fire that left a listed building in Dundee charred is being treated as deliberate.
Firefighters battled through the night to contain the blaze that ravaged a former furniture shop on Barrack Street. Crews were called at 6pm on Saturday night and remain at the scene on Sunday afternoon as they work to extinguish the smouldering remains.
Pictures taken on Sunday show the building burnt to a shell in the aftermath of the blaze. The roof and windows of the art deco premises - which is believed to have been unused for some time - have been corroded.
Smoking debris can also be seen on the roadside as the area remains taped off by police and fire crews. There were no reported injuries.
Officers investigating the circumstances have confirmed they are treating the fire as deliberate and are following a number of lines of enquiry to identify those responsible.
At the height of the incident, nine fire engines attended the inferno, with two remaining on-site today. Residents shared pictures and footage of the fire on social media as they watched on in horror.
Shocking images taken yesterday evening show the extent of the fire, which could be seen from across the city. The huge flames were visible to residents on the opposite side of the Tay.
Niall Campbell, who lives in Fife, said he saw the fire from across the River Tay.
He told the PA news agency on Saturday: "I am on the other side of the Tay so quite far away, but can comfortably say I have not seen a fire of its scale in all my time here."
