On Saturday Night Live‘s Christmas show, the sketch comedy spoofed a Christmas movie, the 1992 Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.

It’s one of favourite Christmas movies but even having seen it a zillion times, we often wonder how Kevin McCallister’s parents didn’t notice their child was missing all that time.

Rare footage of the real house used to film Home Alone in has surfaced online, and the interior is almost unrecognisable to what we saw in the film. In a clip put together by estate agents instructed to sell the house in 2012, fans are invited take a tour around the home, described as a classic redbrick, which went on the market for $2.5million.
