Hollyoaks star William Hall exits after nine years as Lucas Hay: 'That's a wrap'

Hollyoaks star William Hall has filmed his final scenes as Lucas Hay after nine years in the role. The 14-year-old actor, who played Lucas, son of popular character Ste (Kieron Richardson), revealed his departure with a touching post on social media, as he reflected on the happy memories of his time on the show. ‘Thats a wrap on #lucashay,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘wow it’s been an amazing 9 years playing this character and not one moment has been bad. ‘Honestly, I am so happy to be able to say I have been part of the Hollyoaks family and although it is sad I’m leaving, I’m leaving with happy memories. ‘Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years, it means a lot.
‘Can’t wait to see what the future brings and to share it with you!’. William received support from his fellow Hollyoaks co-stars, with Kirsty Leigh Porter, who plays his on-screen aunt Leela Lomax, commenting with three red hearts. Ela-May Demircan, who portrays Lucas’ sister Leah on the show, wrote: ‘I’ve adored having you as an onscreen brother William, sending all my love your way,’ while Ella Richardson star Erin Palmer added: ‘we will all miss you will !! good luck in the future.

William has featured in numerous key scenes during his incredible nine-year stint, such as Lucas leading John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) to Ste’s proposal on a makeshift gondola in 2014. The 14-year-old star has proven time and again that he has what it takes to smash every challenge thrown his way, and we have no doubt that he will continue to do so in the future.
