Holly Willoughby, the much loved host of This Morning, found herself in hot water after it was announced that she'd be absent from the show for the whole of this week. Phillip Schofield presented the popular daytime programme alongside regular stand-in host Rochelle Humes while 41-year-old Holly takes on new presenting commitments. Commencing this evening, Holly is set to front ITV's brand new reality sports series The Games alongside cricketer and Top Gear host Freddie Flintoff, resulting in her being forced to miss This Morning this week.
Phil told viewers this morning: "Rochelle is here all week as Holly is presenting The Games live tonight all week from Crystal Palace." Sharing her news on Twitter this morning, Holly wrote: "Morning… going to miss my This Morning family this week however I’ve had a change of career and become a Cheer Leader… it was only a matter of time".
Fans of the award-winning 10am show were not too pleased when it was revealed that Holly would be missing another week, with one fan claiming that the mum-of-three has only appeared in 37 episodes this year. One unhappy fan took to Twitter to hit out at her absence, writing, "Holly has been off more than she’s been on so far this year", whilst another tweeted, "I swear Holly is always off on holiday". Another dissatisfied viewer demanded, "Another well paid job for Holly? How many jobs does one presenter need?".
