Guerilla Toss have announced that they have signed to Sub Pop to release new album ‘Famously Alive’ in March. The band’s first LP since 2018, the first taste of it comes in the form of new single ‘Cannibal Capital’.On the writing of the album, vocalist Kassie Carlson says: “You have to be with yourself all the time during the pandemic.
I had to figure out a way to manage my anxiety. The pandemic was hard, but it helped me get comfortable inside my own body.
My peace of mind came out of being thrust into the deepest shit”.“It felt like I didn’t need to force myself into this dark place to create anymore”, she goes on. “For the first time in my life, I feel like I’m finally comfortable inside my body.
This album is all about being happy, being alive, strength. It’s meant to inspire people”.As for the musical direction of the album, multi-instrumentalist Peter Negroponte adds: “I like to combine as many musical influences as possible.

New single, ‘Seat For Sadness’, is out now.“The verse of this song kind of came to me all at once”, she says of the single. “Then it took quite a long time until I got the rest of the song out of me”.“I lived in Berlin at the time and rented a piano room at a music school, and most of the hours spent in there I was searching for the rest of the song”, she continues.

Nova Twins have announced details of their much-anticipated second album ‘Supernova’, plus visuals for an intense new single ‘K.M.B.’.The track, which stands for ‘Kill My Boyfriend’, comes with visuals that sees various people who have murdered their partners enlisting the duo to help clean up the aftermath.“’K.M.B.’ will stitch-up the hearts of the heartbroken, teaching the ones who broke it a lesson”, said Nova Twins of the visuals.“Inspired by the sound and feel of the ’90s, we wrote and filmed our version of a playful horror movie. Think Mean Girls meets Clueless meets Pulp Fiction. Kathryn Joseph has announced that she will release her third album – ‘For You Who Are The Wronged’ – in April.The follow-up to 2018’s ‘From When I Wake The Want Is’, the new record was written in early 2020 and features songs themed around different types of violation. She says that she hopes the album might help someone who recognises themselves in one of these songs.“Partly, it feels like the only thing I can do in terms of saying it out loud”, she explains.
