It's been a glorious bank holiday weekend with Greater Manchester basking in sunshine. The rest of the country has also enjoyed similar sunny scenes, with Sunday (May 28) being the UK's hottest day of the year so far.
That record was reached in Plymouth, where temperatures climbed to 24.4C. But the Met Office believes it could be even warmer in some parts of the UK tomorrow.
Top temperatures of 25C are being predicted in some areas, particularly in the west of Scotland. Met Office meteorologist Dan Stroud said: "We’ve got high pressure sending across at the moment, which is bringing dry and settled weather and some late spring, early summer sunshine.

"We’re expecting similar conditions for the rest of the week and into next weekend and probably beyond. So an extended spell of dry and settled weather."
The Met Office says that while temperatures are yet to meet 'heatwave criteria', May has been a 'very dry' month, with little more than half the amount of rainfall as usual. While temperatures aren't expected to reach 25C in Greater Manchester, forecasters are still predicting a warm, sunny day across the region.
