A new Google feature that will impact Gmail users could help people save time when using the messaging service.
The tech giant is set to launch a new 'Smart Reply' feature which leverages AI in order to write whole messages for you. Expected to arrive in the coming months, the function can see exactly what emails have been sent to and is able to formulate detailed responses based on a brief.
All you have to do is key in a very short description of how you'd like to reply and it will handle the rest, reports the Mirror.
Artificial Intelligence will be used to write the message, which you can then change using a simple drop-down menu offering the option to make things more elaborate, formal or shorter.

A simple bar appears so you can tell the AI how you want to respond and it does the rest with the whole process taking a matter of seconds.
AI content creation continues to evolve but this is the first time Google has baked such a big update into its Gmail software.
Until now, there has been the option for Gmail to make word and sentence suggestions as you type but this new Smart Reply allows for full, extensive messages.
Google hasn't revealed when it will roll out but hopefully, more news will be announced soon.
Along with that Gmail upgrade, Google has also announced the launch of new products including a foldable phone, called the Pixel Fold, plus a budget call maker - the Pixel 7a - that cost just £449. There's also a new Pixel Tablet on its way that features a unique dock that transforms it into a smart speaker.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic You can easily hear the impact of Tina Turner in the music of Yola, one of the greatest singers of our generation. But it goes far beyond any basic level of influence for this British-bred, now Nashville-based powerhouse. Before becoming a recording artist and Grammy nominee, back in her native U.K., she was a teacher and lecturer in vocal biomechanics who would instruct young singers in how to emulate Turner’s singular voice… or at least how to try. Yola spoke with Variety about Turner, who died May 24 at age 83. These are some of her thoughts, on everything from Tina’s pure technique to the unique challenges she faced as a Black stylist without parallels or filters to her place in genre-bridging musical history.
