The Good Morning Britain host appeared on Friday's show wearing glasses, explaining that her eyes were "really sore".
Kate, 54, joked "bits of me are falling apart" as one of the ITV's shows doctors, Dr Amir Khan, gave her some advice.
He said: "If you’ve been wearing contact lenses there is a risk of a scratch on the eye or inflammation of the eye. You may need drops to stop an infection getting in".
