Effective today, the newly elected trustees join the Academy’s midterm trustees, including national officers Tammy Hurt (chair), Rico Love (vice chair), Om’Mas Keith (secretary/treasurer), and Christine Albert (chair emeritus).

Cyndi Lauper is set to be the subject of an upcoming documentary called Let The Canary Sing.According to a press release, the film will cover the singer’s rise from her childhood in Queens, New York to the top of the pop charts in the 1980s and beyond.
