Prince Andrew could have assets seized from his £30million home by bailiffs if he loses his sex case trial, one lawyer has claimed. Virginia Giuffre, now 38, claims she was trafficked by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell to have sex with the Duke of York in London in 2001 when she was 17. She also alleges that she was forced to have sex with the 62 year old at Epstein’s home in New York and the US Virgin Islands.

Prince Andrew has requested a jury trial and denied all the allegations of sex abuse made against him, but experts are warning that his public trial will cause irreparable damage to the Royal Family. Court documents show that the royal has denied all allegations made against him by Virginia Giuffre and has requested a ‘trial by jury on all causes of action asserted in the complaint’. The case is set to go to trial towards the end of 2022, with predictions that it will run between September and December.The timing is particularly damaging for the Royal Family in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Year.
