Koffee made herself an international reggae star without releasing a debut album – her 2020 EP Rapture won the 2020 Grammy for Best Reggae Album, and she's collaborated on songs with artists like Buju Banton, Gunna, and Ed Sheeran. On March 25, Koffee will finally share her first full-length.
It's called Gifted, and you can watch the music video for its lead single "Pull Up" below. "Pull Up" is produced by Jae5, the London artist who helped define the sound of FADER cover star J Hus (Jae5 and Koffee previously collaborated on "Repeat," a song from J Hus's 2020-conquering album Big Conspiracy).
A medley of reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeats, "Pull Up" is a celebration of stunting like there's no tomorrow. In the track's music video, Koffee pulls a little from M.I.A.'s classic "Bad Girls" video with some slightly less death-defying car stunts.
