Former Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers was “dad shamed” after some of his followers criticised the star for missing his son’s operation for a boxing match. Aaron, who earlier hit back at trolls who shamed him for kissing his son on the lips, is best-known for his time on the Geordie reality show alongside cast members such as Charlotte Crosby, Gary Beadle, Chloe Ferry and his ex Marnie Simpson.
While Aaron’s son, Oakley, who he shares with former girlfriend, Talia Oatway, was in the hospital getting an operation on his nose, the mixed martial artist was facing off against boxer Floyd Mayweather at London's The 02.Talia, who works as an influencer, took to Instagram, where she shared a snap of her clutching her baby outside an ambulance on Saturday. "You teach me every day how to be strong," she captioned the post.
"Let's go kid. Pray for Oakley." According to The Sun, the snap was posted at the same time Aaron’s fight kicked off in the capital.
In an Instagram post from January to publicise the fight, Aaron wrote in the caption: “ITS ON. I’m fighting @floydmayweather at the 02 London on 25th feb!! It doesn’t get much bigger than this for me!! Some 1s 0 has to go @keane_frontrow.” Beneath the post, fans have been slamming the former Ex on the Beach star, who featured on the show in 2017.
One person scathed: “Be a father first, help Talia and try to be present for Oekley.” “What about your son who will be fighting for his life going though surgery with out his dad by his side. That’s the only fight you should be fighting right now.The one with your gorgeous baby boy. Who also needs his daddy,” another wrote, with a third adding, “Go see your kid, priorities.” Someone else slammed: “Lost every bit of respect I had for you,
