Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher reflected on their pre-season predictions following Monday night's Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Arsenal at St James' Park.
The duo, who have provided opinions and analysis throughout the campaign, looked back on the predictions they made at the start of the season, while they also named their Premier League Team of the Season. As well as that, they also looked ahead to the start of next season, with Neville airing his views on Manchester United and an impending new era under Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman will pick up the baton from Ralf Rangnick ahead of the start of next season but is understood to have already arrived in England to start putting building blocks in place.

However, Neville admitted that he felt it would be important for the Dutchman to take a well-earned rest ahead of officially taking charge. He is not expected at Carrington this week but has already touched base with some United players via WhatsApp.
Neville told Sky Sports: "I think if he's coming over for a short period of time... the players are only going to be there for a week, [he needs to] sit down with the players one to one and get to know them. But I hope he goes on holiday for a couple of weeks and gets some break because the job's big at United and the seasons are long.
