Furious family's holiday plans thrown into chaos as Center Parcs plan to 'kick guests out' on day of Queen's funeral

A family from Bolton say they have been left fuming and their holiday plans thrown into chaos after Center Parcs announced guests would have to leave their resorts on the day of The Queen's funeral.

Tracy Groome, 58, and her husband Vince, 60, booked a week-long trip at the Elveden Forest Center Parks village in Suffolk for their four adult children, two young grandchildren and extended family starting this Friday .

However, the family, who booked the trip more than a year ago and have been hugely looking forward to it, have now been told they will have to move out for a night in the middle of their trip which set them back £2,500. READ MORE: Center Parcs guests told not to travel as all villages to close for Queen's funeral They received an email from the company this morning (Tuesday) saying that "as a mark of respect and to allow as many of our colleagues as possible to be [art of this historic moment" they would be closing all their UK sites on the day of the state funeral, next Monday, September 19.
