Gogglebox fanatics were quite understandably missing their fix when Series 19 drew to a close, after our favourite armchair critics took to social media to thank them for watching over the past four months. Hull favourites Jenny and Lee, among others, wished fans well for the summer and said they'd be back in September. However, after it was announced that the show would be taking a break until later in the year, fans were given one last "series 19" episode this week.
But it didn't turn out to be the special many were hoping for, the Liverpool Echo reports. This included the "best bits" of this series, such as the funniest quips and the most emotional and shocking moments.
However, many Gogglebox fans said TV guides appeared to suggest it would be a new episode and took to social media to complain about it. One viewer, Tom posted an angry emoji on Twitter and wrote: "This Gogglebox isn’t new, it’s a repeat. "In another tweet directed to Channel 4, Jennifer said: "This episode of #Gogglebox is a repeat what’s going on? Says it should be new episode.
