From ‘Offworld’ to ‘El Presidente’ Season 2 and ‘Limbo,’ Titles at Iberseries & Platino Industria

Concern has been sparked for Shaughna Phillips after the former Love Island star was rushed out of the National Television Awards when she "almost collapsed." The reality TV star, 28, was helped out of Wembley's OVO Arena by her manager after suddenly falling ill part way through the star-studded ceremony. Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Vought International has two new hires to boast about: Supes Firecracker and Sister Sage made their epic debut Monday in two first-look photos from “The Boys” Season 4 revealed by Amazon’s Prime Video. In the photos, which you can view at the bottom of this post, you’ll see Susan Heyward suit up as Sister Sage and Valorie Curry rocking her Firecracker costume. Both of the supersuits were designed by Laura Jean Shannon, “The Boys” costume designer who styled Jensen Ackles’ fan-favorite Soldier Boy look for Season 3. Fans will want to pick the details of these costumes apart as much as possible, because Amazon says that everything else about the Firecracker and Sister Sage characters “will be kept under wraps until the season airs.” While we don’t know when that will be just yet, we do know “The Boys” Season 4 is currently in production in Toronto — so stay tuned.

Miguel Angel Silvestre (“En el corredor de la muerte”) and Luis Gerardo Méndez (“Club de Cuervos”) are reprising their roles as Vatican dispatched miracle corroborators, playing alongside Assira Abbate (“Empire of Lies”), who also starred in Season 1. Described as a gripping thriller, Season 2 is again produced by VIS, Paramount’s international studio, in collaboration with 100 Bares, Campanella’s Buenos Aires production label and, this time round, Galicia’s A Coruña-based Portocabo. A producer on Movistar Plus+ hits “Hierro” and “Rapa,” Portocabo has also been behind pioneering premium TV co-productions with Portugal (“Dry Water”). 

Love Island favourite Shaughna Phillips shared a heart-warming sentiment with her online followers on Monday night. After visiting the grave of her late father Eddie - who tragically died of cancer in December 2016 - to take him some flowers, the 28 year old reality star noticed something peculiar when she returned later in the afternoon.Taking to her Instagram Stories, Shaughna explained: "Went to my dads grave today to give it a little tidy up and put some fresh flowers down (top picture you can see the new flowers in the planters either side of the headstone, the one on the left was in deep so wasn't moving).

Discovery – with the removal of more than three dozen titles on HBO Max in August alone –  Netflix’s reconfiguration of its business model and galloping inflation in Europe, threatening streamer subs, They also played out, if sometimes indirectly, at the Iberseries & Platino Industria panels.

Anna Marie de la Fuente Buoyed by the success of last year’s one-to-one networking sessions, Madrid’s 2nd Iberseries & Platino Industria market is launching a new TV forum aimed at fostering co-production and financing pacts between selected producers and potential partners or investors. “We are functioning as an accelerator in a way as the selected projects have at least 40% of their financing in place and just need that final push to see the light,” said Iberseries director Samuel Castro, who adds that these series have budgets ranging from €5 million-€30 million ($ million-$30 million) . The 10 companies, selected out of some 25 submissions, include some heavy hitters led by Spain’s Zebra Prods (Grupo Izen), Gato Grande-MGM, Argentina’s Storylab and El Estudio, founded by former Canana producing partner Pablo Cruz, producer Enrique López Lavigne and former Sony Pictures Intl. Prods. head, Diego Suárez Chialvo. 

The upcoming “Star Trek” sequel originally scheduled for December, 2023 has been undated and removed from Paramount’s upcoming release slate, TheWrap as confirmed. No further information about the decision has been disclosed, but the move comes almost exactly a month after director Matt Shakman exited the project.
