Frankie Essex has admitted she is feeling the loss of her mum more than ever, since becoming a mother herself. The former TOWIE star has paid an emotional tribute to Tina - also mum to her brother Joey Essex - who died by suicide in 2001 after suffering from depression. Introducing her twins Logan and Luella to OK!, the 34-year-old shared: “Now I realise, when people have their mums around and they help, what a dream that would be, especially when I’m worrying about what could go wrong with the babies.
"But Mum is here in spirit. My family and friends always tell me I don’t need to worry because she’s looking down on me, and I know she is. We’re so blessed, honestly.
I believe that the twins were sent to us.” Frankie was just 13 when she lost her beloved mum, and Joey was 10. After the tragedy the siblings were brought up by dad Donny, 63, who was the first person Frankie called when her twins arrived by c-section at Broomfield Hospital in Essex on 24 May. “We had 45 minutes together just the four of us in a separate room when I FaceTimed my dad,” she says of the moment they arrived.
“We hadn’t even told him the names yet. He was so emotional. When he finally held Luella he cried, and I cried.
I cried when my brother Joey held the babies as well.” Frankie, 34, and boyfriend Luke Luv, 32, said they have been inundated with visitors desperate to get cuddles in with their new additions. She added: “My nan’s been around a few times, that’s their great-nan, Nanny Linda. Chloe Sims and her daughter Maddie have been around, Frankie and Demi Sims haven’t been around yet because I’m trying to scatter people’s visits.
