Gravitas Ventures, the indie film and documentary distributor founded and run by Nolan Gallagher, has been acquired by Canadian media giant Anthem Sports & Entertainment.Anthem bought Gravitas from Germany-based Red Arrow Studios as part of a multimillion dollar deal that includes Gravitas Ventures’ library of 3000 titles. Anthem’s transaction was based on a cash purchase price of $73 million along with an additional common stock consideration component.

TPG Real Estate Partners has acquired the studio campuses of Cinespace Studios in Chicago and Toronto — combined the second largest independent sound stage platform in North America — as the buying, selling and building of sound stages continues at a fast clip.
