AC/DC kick off first tour for eight years with career-spanning setlist in Germany

AC/DC kicked off their huge European stadium tour in Germany last night (May 17), marking their return to touring for the first time in 8 years.The tour, in support of their 2020 comeback record ‘Power Up’, began at the 62,000-capacity Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen and was the first featuring new bassist Chris Chaney, who is best known for his tenure in Jane’s Addiction. He replaced Cliff Williams after he retired from touring.Their setlist was almost identical to the one in their comeback gig at Power Trip Festival in October, albeit with the order of some of the songs changed.

David Gilmour announces extra shows in LA and New York for 2024

David Gilmour has announced additional shows in Los Angeles and New York for his ‘Luck And Strange‘ shows.The soloist and former Pink Floyd guitarist took to his official social media accounts to announce a third show at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on October 31, and a fourth show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on November 9.The new dates follow the previously announced dates in Los Angeles on October 29 and 30 and in New York on November 4, 5, and 6. Gilmour’s US dates will take place after his six-night residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall and his six-night residency at Rome’s historic chariot-racing stadium Circus Maximus (Circo Massimo).

Childish Gambino Announces ‘New World Tour’ Dates, Drops New Version of ‘3.15.20’ Album and Video

Jem Aswad Executive Editor, Music Childish Gambino — aka multihyphenate Donald Glover — doesn’t do anything by half, and as he promised last month, he has dropped a new version of his surprise release “3.15.20” (which quietly dropped in March 2020), under its original title “Atavista,” dates for “The New World Tour,” a massive trek through North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, launching in August. He also released a video for the album’s song “Little Foot Big Foot,” directed by Hiro Murai, featuring Young Nudy. He will follow with what he says is the last installment of the Gambino project, which will serve as the soundtrack to his film “Bando Storm and the New World.” Willow will support the AEG-produced tour in North America and Amaarae in Europe.

Blur have announced details of their new feature-length documentary To The End, which will follow their recent comeback and the release of their first album in eight years.The Britpop icons first shared a teaser about the upcoming project back in February, when they announced that a feature-length documentary was on the way, and set to recall the making of their latest album ‘The Ballad Of Darren’.Now, frontman Damon Albarn and co. have shared the title of the film, and confirmed that it will be arriving in cinemas across the country later this summer.Called Blur: To The End, the new documentary will be shown in cinemas across the UK and Ireland from July 19 and, according to a press release, will “follow the unique relationship of four friends – and bandmates of three decades – Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree as they came together in early 2023 to record new songs ahead of their sold-out, first-ever shows at London’s Wembley Stadium in July last summer.”The Wembley shows refer to when the band played two massive back-to-back headline shows at the venue last summer.
