Betsy-Blue English has launched a surprising new career in LA almost 10 years on from her X Factor stint. Betsy was one quarter of the singing group Only The Young and made it to the live shows with her bandmates, ultimately finishing in seventh place. But Betsy has since swapped music for acting and relocated to the US in a bid to crack Hollywood.
Betsy, 27, has since landed some exciting new Netflix roles, with her first project reportedly set for a November release. Elsewhere she’s also landed a role in a new movie and is working with the creators of the Winnie The Pooh horror movie. A source told Mail Online: “Betsy's so incredibly excited to be able to start a career Stateside.
She's been acting professionally since she was 12 and these are the opportunities she's dreamed of. “Betsy's managed to secure a leading role in two TV shows and a couple of movies. It's all happened very quickly.
“One of the television shows is created by the team behind 13 Reasons Why and The OA, and many more huge series she's a fan of.” OK! has contacted Betsy's representatives for comment. While Betsy had once focused her time on music, she’s no stranger to acting and has already worked on some big titles. Some of her credits include Hulu’s Four Weddings And A Funeral and BBC's The Tracey Ullman Show.
Away from her career, Betsy’s love life is also going well as the blonde beauty got engaged at the beginning of the year. Betsy is set to wed successful songwriter David Stewart, who wrote BTS’ hit song Dynamite. David popped the question while the pair were on a trip to Tokyo together in January.
