Daniella Monet is backing up the claims that Nickelodeon sexualized its teen stars in a new report about the network.
Insider published an expose on Victorious and iCarly creator Dan Schneider, who was let go from the network in 2018 over inappropriate conduct, and the 33-year-old actress is confirming the claims, and also calling the network out for turning a blind eye to the situation.

According to a report from Insider, Schneider was known to push the boundaries of children’s TV, often “thumbing his nose” at Nickelodeon’s standards department and ramping up the series’ sexual innuendos, including scenes in which goo was squirted on young actresses’ faces. When it came to picking costumes, Schneider “signed off on all outfits” and “campaign[ed] for the skimpier options,” the report states. EastEnders star Ashvin Luximon has died at the age of 38. The soap star died of an aneurysm on July 23, his family have confirmed as they paid tribute to their ‘loving son, brother and friend’. Luximon is best known for playing Asif Mailk in the BBC drama, a role he portrayed from September 1999 to October 2003, appearing in 146 episodes.
