Former Emmerdale star Sheree Murphy had viewers making the same remark as she surprised them at the British Soap Awards. The actress made an unexpected appearance at the British Soap Awards on Saturday night (June 3) which were recorded in front of a live audience at The Lowry theatre at Salford Quays.
But she wasn't seen on-screen until Tuesday night (June 6) when the glitzy, star-studded ceremony aired on ITV. Sheree, who is known for playing Tricia Dingle in Yorkshire-based soap, popped up alongside Gemma Atkinson and Verity Rushworth to surprise Emmerdale favourite Mark Charnock with one of the biggest prizes of the evening.
The actor, who is famed for playing loveable chef Marlon Dingle, won the Outstanding Achievement gong in recognition of playing the much-loved character more than 25 years, and was clearly overwhelmed with the gong.

Sheree, Gemma and Verity, who all played Marlon's wives or girlfriend in the soap, paid tribute to Mark as an "incredible actor" and reflected on his hard-hitting storylines over the years, including the most recent in which his character suffered a life-changing stroke.
