A former drug dealer, notorious for holding "after-parties" at his flat, has been caged for raping a woman who was "so drunk she could barely walk" after a night out.
Valentine Livingston, 35, attacked his victim after a night out in July 2017.
The younger woman had been drinking at Spensley's nightclub in Middlesbrough before she headed to a pizza shop with Livingston and two other friends, Teesside Live writes.
The victim was so intoxicated, she was captured on CCTV falling off her chair to the floor in the takeaway whilst her friends were up dancing.
Her friend gave evidence during Livingston's rape trial, stating that the victim was "mortal drunk", adding: "She was all over. She couldn't stand or walk in a straight line".
The group then caught a taxi back to Livingston's to continue partying.
But Teesside Crown Court previously heard that after the woman was offered Livingston's bed to sleep in, she had a partial memory of waking up in the middle of the night to find Livingston on top of her, raping her.
The victim was left to hunt around Livingston's flat for her underwear the next morning, after she woke up in pain and realised she no longer had it on.
Livingston eventually retrieved her underwear from under the middle of his mattress, which alarmed the victim even more, because she had no understanding of how he got it there whilst she was asleep in his bed.
She asked Livingston if they had had sex and he admitted they had, but insisted that he stopped when she had asked him to.
Valentine Livingston, of Avondale Gardens, Dyke House, Hartlepool, but previously of Middlesbrough, appeared in court via videolink from Durham Prison's F-wing.
He was convicted of the rape, but cleared of a second rape charge, by a jury in
