Tributes have been paid to a ‘forgotten hero of Dunkirk’ who has died just months after hundreds of well-wishers turned out so he didn’t have a lonely 100th birthday.
Eric Taylor has been described by his family as a true inspiration after he passed away on Sunday. The centenarian lived an extraordinary life and was just 19 when he was captured in France with the Royal Norfolk Regiment, while defending the get-away at Dunkirk.
