Foo Fighters are set to perform a VR concert after this week’s Super Bowl Sunday.The group will perform what’s described as an “immersive 180-degree VR concert” on Facebook, now termed Meta, after the game this week. SCALPING have announced details of their debut album ‘Void’, as well as sharing a futuristic video for lead single ‘Flashforward’.The Bristol band, who were included in the NME 100 in 2021, are set to release the album on April 29 via Houndstooth.“We wrote this whole album without playing a single note of it together,” the band’s Alex Hill explained. “We produced all of the songs using the computer – as a blend of recordings and samples of our live drums, guitars and drum machines into production software – and then translated it all back into a live performance.“Although there are structured songs on the record, there’s no explicit focus on exactly recreating those songs live either. Everything is adapted to work into a set that flows well.

Bright Eyes have shared three new songs ahead of an extensive reissue project set to roll-out across the coming year. The band, fronted by Conor Oberst, will re-release all nine of their studio albums in what is being described as a "Companion" seriesw with each release being accompanied by an EP of new recordings. The first three Bright Eyes albums, A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997, Letting Off The Happiness, and 2000's Fevers and Mirrors, will be reissued on May 27.

Bright Eyes have announced plans to reissue their entire back catalogue.The band – comprised of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcot – will reissue all nine of their studio albums along with a Companion EP for each LP featuring new recordings of songs from the original release plus a cover version from an artist they found particularly inspiring at the time.They will kick off the campaign on May 27, with their first three albums – ‘A Collection Of Songs Written And Recorded 1995-1997’, 1998’s ‘Letting Off The Happiness’ and 2000 LP ‘Fevers And Mirrors’. Suicide have announced the release of their first ever career-spanning collection.Called ‘Surrender’, the collection will be released on Mute/BMG on March 25.The 16-track collection, also contains previously unheard material from the duo, made up of Martin Rev and the late Alan Vega.Two new, unreleased tracks also feature on the collection: ‘Girl (Unreleased Version)’ and ‘Frankie Teardrop (First Version)’. Foo Fighters‘ new feature-length film STUDIO 666 is coming to cinemas in the UK and Ireland next month.Directed by BJ McDonnell, the upcoming “horror-comedy” movie will follow Dave Grohl and co. as they move into a mansion in Encino, California that is “steeped in grisly rock and roll history” to record a new album.Once they arrive, however, frontman Grohl “finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band”.A clip from the movie was shared last December, with the first official trailer landing earlier this month.Today (January 27) it’s been confirmed that STUDIO 666 will be released exclusively in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on February 25 via Sony Pictures UK.
