A freak accident involving a falling window killed a Florida burglar, according to a report. It happened Saturday during the attempted burglary of a home in Lehigh Acres, NBC 2 Fort Myers reported.

Two inmates, who were on the run after escaping from a Tennessee minimum-security facility, were arrested Sunday in Pompano Beach, Fla., according to authorities.  Robert Lee Brown, 36, and Christopher Osteen, 34, were taken into custody by law enforcement more than two days after the pair escaped from the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tenn., on Friday, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) said in a news release.

A Florida woman has been charged with storing a dead man’s body in a trash can in order to collect his Social Security benefits. Michelle Haney, 49, of Bradenton, was arrested and charged Wednesday with abuse of a dead body in connection with the death of 40-year-old Jon Christopher Leonard.

A Florida woman was in critical condition Thursday in a Miami hospital, being treated for second- and third-degree burns, three days after a man allegedly poured gasoline on her and use a cigarette lighter to set her on fire, according to a report. Authorities said the suspect, identified as Luis Angel Quinonez, 53, of Lantana, became enraged after learning the 61-year-old woman had been having a “romantic relationship” with his stepfather, the Sun Sentinel of South Florida reported.
